The Story of Stuff

 

     I think she is right and recycling really never will be enough, but if we just all work together we can make a difference in our lives. All we need to do is make some time to make this happen. We've already waited long enough. And did you know that there is a thing such as Toxic Breast Milk, so the smallest members of our society are getting the worst stuff! But even before that we were still trashing our planet! Also did you know that the USA cumsumes one third of the world's resouces! At this rate we are going to die . . . SOON!  But then again since we caused this commotion so let's try to fix it. Look over the facts again, I think there's something missing, where does the government come in?

     Well the government are the what you can say their pretty nice to the corperation, actually the government is more or less smaller than the corperation! For people with lots of power their not doing much to keep the corperation from trashing our planet. So now what are you thinking? Are you angry, upset, sad, with this? This isn't a problem we can run from, so now what do you do? What do you think of the situation at hand?

Hallowe'en

                                           The Ghost of Hallowe'en

Boo here! I'm the Hallowe'en ghost and I'm in-charge of not only making Hallowe'en extra scary but also letting everyone have fun! But there is one tinny tiny problem. The Goblins stole my special jack-o-lantern that makes sure Hallowe'en is scary and fun. I got told they hid it in THE PIT OF FLAMES. My quest to there might be dangerous but I must do this for the sake of Hallowe'en! 

    Before I go there I'll need to pick up a few supplies such as sunglasses, a fire proof suit and, burn cream. Believe me I'll need this stuff. Now off I go!

    Okay so I'm here right in front of the pit well, did you know that there is only one path to the center and I must take it. Jack ( what! I named my jack-o-lantern Jack.) here I come! ( A few minuets later) It's way too warm in here! Hey! look there's Jack! I'm coming just hang in there I'm almost there! Uh oh! ( path broke, I ran over it ) Why didn't I get a jet pack WHY! WHY! WHY?

Environment Concerns

 

     Once upon a time the Earth was unaffected by human development, but look at what is happening now. The temperature is rising animals are becoming endangered and might become extinct in the bargain. Do we want this to happen to our little (well maybe not so little) planet that is the only one that can support life (that we know of anyway). We are polluting the water that we drink. If we go on like this we might not be staying here very long. In my opinion I think we should do what little we can do to help save our planet.

 

     There are many things we can do to help such as turning the lights off when we don't need them, not turn up the heat too much during the winter:wear sweaters, etc. More than a quarter of the waste Canada gives off is due to transportation. Look we even have inefficient transportation! We need to find newer greener ways of getting around. What about light bulbs, they affect the environment too. There is the normal light bulb and the compact florescent light bulb. The normal light bulb takes the energy and makes light but some of the energy turns in to heat which some of it is released which is not very good. Then there's he compact florescent light bulb, the bulb compacts the energy and uses that to power the bulb hardly any heat escapes, but there is a small amount mercury used in the bulb so that will end up in land fills.

 

    Many people are not even trying to save our precious planet but it's time to change. We must live up to the goal our ancestors gave us, to not only use this planet for our needs, but to help the creatures around us to keep balance. Only in this way can retain the balance there once was to save not only our own kind but other animals and living things.
